She focuses on teacher preparation and student experiences specifically related to culturally sustaining practices.<\/p>\n<p>Before beginning her doctoral studies, Efe worked for over six years as an elementary school counselor, where she designed and implemented a district-wide antiracism curriculum as well as taught professional development for teachers within and out of the school district. Efe also worked with Harvard\u2019s RIDES program from 2015-2019 where she worked in collaboration with schools across the United States and a few Central American countries.
