She is interested in research and therapeutic practices that promote accessibility to evidence-based care for youth experiencing acute mental health concerns. <\/span><span>Her research experience includes contributions toward an NIMH-funded study identifying cognitive risk factors for suicidal and self-injurious thoughts and behaviors in adolescents. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>At BU, Danielle works with Dr. Amie Grills on a NIH-funded project investigating internalizing disorders (specifically anxiety) and its relationship to reading ability in elementary-school-aged children. She has received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with adolescents and families, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Currently, she is completing a clinical practicum at Cambridge Health Alliance\/Harvard Medical School in their child and adolescent inpatient units.
