Reid is a part-time instructor within the Counseling Psychology program at BU Wheelock College of Education &amp; Human Development. Dr. Reid teaches courses for the master&#8217;s and doctoral students and supervises doctoral students who are in their clinical placements. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Outside his role at BU, Dr. Reid is a licensed psychologist in private practice located in Boston, Mass. He provides psychotherapy, sport and performance psychology consultation, and neuropsychological assessment for children, adolescents, college students, and young adults. His work with athletes is dedicated to overcoming performance barriers and addressing the &#8220;mental side of athletics,&#8221; although he also provides psychotherapy to address concerns beyond performance when appropriate and indicated. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Dr. Reid specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and delivers an integrated, individualized, and holistic approach to therapy that he has found highly effective. He treats a wide range of mental health concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, OCD and related conditions, ADHD, parent guidance, relationship issues, life adjustments, self-esteem, and overall well-being. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Dr. Reid received clinical training at Boston University\u2019s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD), completed his postdoctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital\u2019s Learning and Emotional Assessment Program, and has been a clinical consultant for the Harvard University CARES research project, where he consulted to school-based counselors.
