Her work focuses on leveraging media and technology to provide access to high-quality STEM education. Her research interests include enhancing discourse between adults and children, elevating classroom quality, and STEM informal learning spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dashoush has created several award-winning apps and children\u2019s television programs, for which she was nominated for an Emmy. Her digital resources are used in thousands of classrooms nationwide, and her apps have received over 10 million downloads worldwide. She is currently working on a show for PBS Kids, which teaches children about computation thinking skills and expanding representation in the STEM field. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) for the federally funded Jumpstart program, which prepares college students to work in underserved communities. She is also a recipient of the National Science Foundation (NSF) grant.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dashoush\u2019s journey in education started in New York City, where she worked as a NYC public school teacher and created several after-school and summer STEM programs for young children.
