In this program, you\u2019ll discuss the relationship between language, culture, and equity\u2014and how they relate to the linguistic, academic, and social-emotional development of English learners. You\u2019ll also gain thorough background knowledge about second-language acquisition, assessment, culturally sensitive teaching, and curriculum development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This graduate certificate program is geared toward educators who are already licensed in another subject but want to earn an initial ESL initial license in Massachusetts. You may choose one of two tracks: elementary (PreK\u20136) or secondary (5\u201312).
