\n\nField-Based Experiences<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
Students in the MAT in Science Education program are placed in science teaching field experiences every semester to accompany coursework. The teaching responsibilities of the teacher candidates increase each semester, culminating in full responsibility of teaching as student teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students who are admitted into BU Wheelock routinely participate in field experiences as a part of their respective program curriculum and requirements. Most field sites require criminal background checks to determine students\u2019 eligibility for participation.
