BU Wheelock\u2019s certificate of advanced graduate study (CAGS) in Reading Education provides licensed teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to teach reading and writing effectively, evaluate their students\u2019 progress, and support students who may need additional support as they learn how to read and write. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed for teachers who already have a master\u2019s degree, our CAGS program will widen and deepen your expertise in reading instruction.&nbsp; Alongside theoretical classwork, you\u2019ll gain hands-on experience in one of our school-based practicums\u2014practical knowledge will prepare you to support students as soon as you graduate from the program. CAGS candidates complete a capstone project at the end of the program. When enrolled full-time, students can complete this CAGS program in nine months (fall and spring semesters).
