If you’re an aspiring math teacher—or if you are already working as a mathematics educator and want to increase your impact—the Master of Education (EdM) in Mathematics Education at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development is designed just for you. You’ll learn about the latest research, curricula, methodologies, and theories in mathematics education.Whether you’re teaching preschoolers how to count to 50 or guiding high schoolers diving into calculus, BU Wheelock’s Mathematics Education EdM will help you lead your students to a stronger understanding of mathematics. 

The EdM in Mathematics Education is for educators who have a strong commitment to teaching, want to expand their knowledge and skills. While it is primarily geared toward educators who already have an initial teaching license or do not wish to obtain one, you can use this program to satisfy professional licensure requirements. You’ll be able to customize your program to fit your career interests and goals. This flexible master’s program can be completed in one year of full-time study, but you can also enroll part-time, and you can begin your studies in fall, spring, or summer.
